Whitney and Jordan Ebert won Reserve Supreme Champion for their four-year-old cow Kingsmill Atwood Allison at the Junior International Holstein Show at the World Dairy Expo in Madison last week.

More than 30 Kewaunee County farmers and their families and employees attended the Dairy Expo.  The show is the largest dairy trade show in the world and hosted about 70,000 people from more than 90 countries, said Aerica Bjurstrom, Kewaunee County agricultural agent with the University of Wisconsin-Extension.

Approximately 2,500 head of cattle were exhibited from the United States and Canada, Bjurstrom said.   Other youth showing livestock at the show included Michael and Megan Moede from Algoma, Carmen, Mikayla and Spencer Haack from Algoma and Hailey Jauquet from Luxemburg.

Carmen Haack shows her Red and White Holstein yearling heifer in milk, Synergy Always Smokin-Red, at the World Dairy Expo.
