Saturday, Nov. 7

Toys for Tots Sign-up:  10 a.m.to noon, Kewaunee Public Library, 822 Juneau St., Kewaunee, for children 18 years and younger.  Bring picture ID for all adults in household, proof of current address (rent receipt, utility bill) birth certificates, please bring own translator.

Veterans Day Celebration: noon-5 p.m., Lakehaven Hall, 93 Ellis St., guest speakers, Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary John Scocos and County Veterans Service Officer Jane Babcock, food and beverages available for purchase, music 2-4 p.m.

Luxemburg Sportman’s Club Sight-in Days: 9-3 p.m., Wisconsin 54, Luxemburg, assistants available to help using spotting scopes and lead sleds, call 920-845-5510.

Hout and Judy’s Anniversary Celebration: 5 p.m., Houterville Station Bar, E2905 County J, Kewaunee, music by the Greatest Hits Polka Band 8-10 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 8

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Patriotic Service: 9:30 a.m., N4108 County AB, Luxemburg, all veterans groups in the county have been invited to attend.  Special patriotic music by adult and children’s choir.  Lunch following service of chicken booyah, sandwiches and dessert, $6.

Algoma United Methodist Church Veterans Day Service: 10:15 a.m., 804 Parker Ave., members of the American Legion will host a flag folding ceremony and the Rev. Bob Kuhn will sing taps.  All are welcome.

Luxemburg Sportman’s Club Sight-in Days: 9-3 p.m., Wisconsin 54, Luxemburg, assistants available to help using spotting scopes and lead sleds, call 920-845-5510.

Monday, Nov. 9

Gentle Plus Exercise Class: 9-10 a.m., St. John Lutheran Church, 700 Heritage Road, Luxemburg, for 50 and older.

Gentle Plus Exercise Class:  11 a.m.-noon, St. John’s Lutheran Church, E5221 Church Rd, Rankin, for 50 and older.

Kewaunee WIC Draft Issuance: 1-3 p.m., Kewaunee County Public Health Department, 810 Lincoln St., Kewaunee.

Kewaunee City Council: 7 p.m., 401 Fifth St., Kewaunee.

Tuesday, Nov. 10

Baby story time:  10 a.m.,  Algoma Public Library, 408 Fremont St., Algoma, for babies through 2 years old, free.

TOPS WI 0326: 9 a.m., Knudson Hall at Algoma Community Center, 620 Lake St., Algoma, call 920-487-9945.

American Red Cross blood drive: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., Luxemburg-Casco High School, 512 Center Drive, Luxemburg.

Kewaunee Immunization Clinic: 1-4 p.m., Kewaunee County Public Health Department, 810 Lincoln St., Kewaunee, appt. required 920-388-7030.

Algoma Optimists:  7 a.m., Caffe’ Tlazo, 607 Fourth St., Algoma.

Kewaunee County Board: 6 p.m., Kewaunee County Administration Building, 810 Lincoln St., Kewaunee.

Luxemburg Village Board:  7 p.m., 206 Maple St., Luxemburg

Casco Village Board: 7 p.m., 309 Sixth St., Casco.

Wednesday, Nov. 11 

Veterans Day

Joyce Club: 9 a.m., Southern Comfort Restaurant, 70 Church St., Algoma, call for reservations 920-487-2630.

Algoma School’s Veterans Day Lunch and Program: 12:45 a.m., Algoma Elementary School, 514 Fremont St., students provide lunch for veterans and senior citizens, call school office for lunch reservations 920-487-7001, 1:30 p.m., veterans program at the Algoma Performing Arts Center, including patriotic presentations by the students, student bands and chorus.

Algoma Community Band’s Annual Veterans Day Concert:  7 p.m.,  Algoma Performing Arts Center, 514 Fremont St., honoring all veterans including Marv Dequaine, who passed away in September, with a performance of “Marching Home Again” by Dave Kopetsky.

Kewaunee Veterans Day Presentation:  11 a.m., corner of Ellis and Milwaukee streets followed by AMVETS Post 42 ceremony at the Kewaunee County Courthouse. All veterans requested to attend this ceremony; if you would like to be a part of the ceremony, please be present at 10:30 am.

Luxemburg Blood Pressure Clinic:  10-11;30 a.m., St. John’s Lutheran Church, 700 Heritage Road, Luxemburg.

“The Music Man”: 7 p.m., Kewaunee High School, 911 Third St., Kewaunee, Harold Hill sweeps into River City and convinces the towns members that a new pool table will make the youngsters into troublemakers unless they form a marching band, tickets $5 for students and seniors, $7 for adults, tickets available at the high school office and Kewaunee Baylake Bank.
