Easter Egg Hunts Abound in County

It is Easter Time in Kewaunee County. The Christian celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ will be celebrated in churches around the county. In addition, the Easter Bunny will be hiding eggs in several locations.
In Kewaunee, the traditional Easter Egg Hunt at The Hollyhock House will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 26. The Hollyhock House is located at 1408 Dodge St. in Kewaunee. Proceeds will go to the Kewaunee County Food Pantry.
Luxemburg will host its Easter Egg Hunt 9-10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at the Luxemburg Community Center. The actual egg hunt will begin at 9;30 a.m. and participants need to bring their own Easter basket. Games, face painting and pictures with the Easter Bunny will be taken. There will be prizes and candy for children and refreshments will be served. The event is sponsored by the Bank of Luxemburg, Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce members and local businesses.
In Algoma, the Algoma Long-Term Care Unit will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt 1-3 p.m. Sunday, March 20. The hunt will be indoors in the facility at 1510 Fremont St. in Algoma.
The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures. The egg hunt is open to the public and is for second grade students and under. Participants should bring their own Easter basket. The event is sponsored by the United Methodist Church of Algoma, and volunteers from Lakeside Community Church will help at the free event.
