Friday, March 25

Story Hour:  Algoma Public Library, 408 Fremont St., Algoma, for 3-6 years old.

Strong Bones Exercise Class: 9-10 a.m., Immanuel Lutheran Church, Family Life Center, 1012 Wisconsin St., Kewaunee, $10, entroll by calling 920-388-7137.

Saturday, March 26

Pick a Chick Day: 8 a.m.-noon, Walters of Rio Creek, E4351 County K, Rio Creek. Free live Easter chicks to first 200 children; visits by the Easter Bunny and Easter Chick; kids activities and door prizes including an in-store egg hunt.

Luxemburg Easter Egg Hunt: 9-10 a.m., Luxemburg Community Center, egg hunt begins at 9:30 a.m., bring an Easter basket, games, face painting and pictures with the Easter Bunny, refreshments will be served, sponsored by Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce members and Bank of Luxemburg.

Kewaunee Easter Egg Hunt: 1-3 p.m., The Hollyhock House, 1408 Dodge St., Kewaunee, proceeds to Lakeshore Community Pantry, bring a food item to donate.

Kewaunee Trap Club St. Patrick’s Day Jackpot Shoot: 4-9 p.m., E3075 County F, Kewaunee, food and refreshments at the clubhouse, schedule a shooting time by calling Justin Brown at 920-388-4764.

Kewaunee School Board:  6 p.m. closed session to discuss personnel issues, 7 p.m. open meeting, Hillcrest School, 915 Second St., Kewaunee.

Algoma School Board: 6:30 p.m., Algoma High School, 1715 Division St., Algoma.

Tuesday, March 29

Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce Dinner Meeting: 6 p.m., social, 7 p.m., dinner, Rendezvous, E896 County N, Luxemburg, speaker will be Lee Nowak with Robert E. Lee and Associates on Luxemburg’s Main Street project, and candidates running for the Luxemburg Village Board. RSVP by Monday, March 28, by contacting Jean Dax at 920-655-8996.

Restoring the Ahnapee River: 6 p.m., Algoma City Hall, 416 Fremont St., Algoma, State Rep Scott Krug and State Rep. Joel Kitchens will speak on “Restoring the Ahnapee River:  Navigating the Steps to Improved Water Quality.” The Ahnapee River is on the Wisconsin Impaired List, Rep. Krug will offer insights and advice based on his experience with the Wisconsin River. Sponsored by Friends of Crescent Beach, free and open to the public.

Monday, April 4

City of Kewaunee spring yard waste pickup: Must place leaves, grass, and yard waste in open containers or untied bags at curb ready for pick-up by 7 a.m. Another pickup is scheduled Monday, April 18.
