Kewaunee County and the Town of Carlton have announced a public information meeting to discuss the proposed replacement of the bridge on St. Peters Road over the East Twin Creek.  The project is located about 0.3 miles north of County J in the town of Carlton.

The meeting is scheduled for 7:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, May 9, at the Carlton Town Hall, N1296 Town Hall Road, Kewaunee. No formal presentations will be given.  Exhibits and maps will be available for review, and project representatives will be on hand to address any questions or concerns.  The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project.

The project would result in the replacement of the existing bridge.  The project would also include work on the roadway approaching the bridge.  A limited amount of new right of way will be required for the project. Some wetlands adjacent to the creek and roadway will be impacted by the project. Construction is scheduled for 2018.

St. Peters Road will be closed to through traffic during construction.
