Friday, June 10

History on the Move Wagon Train:  10 a.m. wagon train ride with 1880s period costumes will leave from 18311 Lakeshore Road and travel along Lakeshore Road to Francis and Sue Wojta Farm.  Approximately 2 p.m. will arrive in city of Kewaunee and pass the Emerald Shore Assisted Living and Atrium Post Acute Care before proceeding in a circular route through the city and up Milwaukee Street to Lakeshore Road where it will arrive at the Agricultural Heritage Farm, Wisconsin 42,  at approximately 4 p.m.

Ag Heritage Farm Barn Dance: 7-11 p.m., Ag Heritage Farm, Wisconsin 42, five miles south of Kewaunee.  Join History on the Move wagon train participants for a dance in the Heritage Farm barn.  The family dance will feature Bobby Rivers with food and refreshments served.

New Franken Community Blood Drive: 11 a.m.-5 p.m., St. Joseph Church, Social Hall, 5996 County K, New Franken, for an appointment  please call Bev Paye at 920-388-2190, special refreshment provided.

Saturday, June 11

Bob Pribek Memorial Ride: 9:30 arrival, departs 10 a.m., starting at St. John’s Cemetery, Krok, Bob loved vintage cars, ’60s and ’70s music and Door County.   We will tour Door County and stop at PC Junction/Peninsula Pub for lunch, all vehicles welcome, maps provided the day of the ride, donations given to Wisconsin Donor Network and Wisconsin Tissue Bank.

Sunday, June 12

Kewaunee County Farmer’s Market: 10 a.m.- 3 p.m., The Flying Pig, Wisconsin 42 south of Algoma, local food and farm products, fruits, produce, fresh eggs, baked breads, jams, jellies and canned goods. REN Grill serving organic burgers and brats.

Monday, June 13

Grand Opening Clothing Closet:  10 a.m.-2 p.m., 416 Harrison St. Kewaunee, celebration of the Clothing Closet’s new location after moving from Hillcrest School, the store features used clothing, bedding, household items and furniture, grocery bag of items on outside tables for $2.

Kewaunee WIC Draft Issuance: 1-3 p.m., Kewaunee County Public Health Department, 810 Lincoln St., Kewaunee.

Tuesday, June 14

Joyce Club: 9 a.m., Village Kitchen, 101 Old Orchard Ave., Casco, wear red, white and blue for Flag Day, questions, call Joyce Wiens at 920-487-8130.

Story Time: 10 a.m., Algoma Public Library, 406 Fremont St, Algoma, children 0-5 are invited with their caregivers to read some fun books that will get the kids moving, free.

Algoma Optimists Club: 7 a.m., Caffe Tlazo, 607 Fourth St., Algoma.

TOPS 36: 9 a.m., Knudson Hall, Community Center, 620 Parkway, Algoma, use the Clark Street entrance, weight loss support group.

Algoma Golden Agers Card Club: 1 p.m., Algoma, Youth Club, 620 Lake St., Algoma, sheepshead, for 50 and older.

Kewaunee Immunization Clinic: 1-4 p.m., Kewaunee County Public Health Department., 810 Lincoln St, Kewaunee, appointment required, call 920-388-7160.

Medicare: Parts A-D Seminar: 3-5 p.m., St. John Lutheran Church, 700 Heritage Road, Luxemburg, Medicare information session, learn about Medicare costs and coverage, for anyone new to Medicare or interested in more information, free public service by the Aging and Disability Resource Center on the Lakeshore, registration required, call 1-877-416-7083, free.

Luxemburg Village Board: 7 p.m., Luxemburg Village Hall, 206 Maple St., Luxemburg

Casco Village Board: 7 p.m., Casco Village Hall, 309 Sixth St., Casco..

Wednesday, June 15

Algoma Housing Authority Board: 8 a.m., Grand View Terrace Apartments, 145 Grandview Court, Algoma.

Junior Golf Lessons: Alaskan Golf Club, N6092 Wisconsin 42, Alaska, for ages 9-18 beginners, $40, call to register at 920-388-3940.

Algoma Immunization Clinic: 3-6 p.m., Algoma Public Library, 406 Fremont St., Algoma, appointment required, call 920-388-7160.

Algoma Utility Commission: 5 p.m., Utility Office, 1407 Flora Ave., Algoma.

Thursday, June 16

Chocolate Olympics: 2 p.m., Algoma Public Library, 406 Fremont St., Algoma, join us for an afternoon of chocolate fun, relay races, M&M sorting and more.

Kewaunee Rotary Club: 11:45 a.m., the Cork, 311 Ellis St., Kewaunee, $11 includes lunch and presentation, all are welcome.

Kewaunee County Council of the American Legion quarterly meeting: 7 p.m., Algoma Legion Post, 94 Clark St., Algoma, election of officers will be held.

Music in the Park: tailgate 5:30 p.m., music 6-8 p.m., Fireman’s Park, corner of Second and Maple streets, Luxemburg, Mark Jirikovec Band, polkas, modern, old time and big band, sponsored by Gus Janda family, dance the night away.

Friday, June 17

Lego Building: 1 p.m., Algoma Public Library, 406 Fremont St., Algoma, come and build with our Legos, free.

Brat/Hamburger Fry: 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Piggly Wiggly, 931 Marquette St., Kewaunee, sponsored by Knights of Columbus Council No. 2984, proceeds to Lakeshore Community Food Pantry.

Just Desserts: 6:30-8 p.m., von Stiehl Winery, 115 Navarino St.,  all you can eat dessert buffet, $15 includes all the desserts and a glass of wine, additional wine for $4 a glass, sale of 25 percent off you case purchase and 15 percent off any other merchandise, only 60 tickets available, reserve by June 9, call 1-800-955-5208.

Saturday, June 18

Ahnapee Summer Solstice 50: 9 a.m. race, Neenah Ave. trailhead, Sturgeon Bay, relay teams of 2-5 runners will complete 10 legs of the Ahnapee State Trail as they make their way to the finisher’s party at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds in Luxemburg.  Non-participants are welcome at the party and $20 tickets will be sold at the gate.  Register at active.com, $250 per team – five-person max, no solo runners.  Visit www.ahnapeestatetrail.org for more information.

BrewVino Roast: 11 a.m.-6 p.m., von Stiehl Winery and Ahnapee Brewery, 115 Navarino St., Algoma, whole steer roast with help from Skaliwags.  Enjoy a steer raised on Ahnapee Brewery grains at the Bryersquart Family Farm in Door County.  Before reasting, the steer is bathed in Von Stiehl cherry wine marinade.  Taste and buy a special beer made for the day as well a a special bottling of wine blended especially to pair with the steer.  Live music by Bob Balsley and the Conscious Pilot, for more information, call 1-800-955-5208.

Sunday, June 19

Breakfast on the Farm: 8 a.m.-noon, Pagel’s Ponderosa Dairy, N4823 County C, Kewaunee,   dairy brunch, farm tours, fun and games for the whole family, $6 ages 12 and up, $2 ages 4-12, under 4 free.
