KEWAUNEE — Kyle Ellefson, Kewaunee city administrator, has resigned effective August 19 to take a similar position in Johnson Creek.

Ellefson, who joined the city staff a little over a year ago, said that he and his family wanted to return to family near Johnson Creek, where he left a previous position to move to Kewaunee..

Kyle Ellefson applauds after Sandi Christman is sworn in as the new Mayor last spring..

“Kyle has been a great asset to the City of Kewaunee bringing fresh ideas and helping the city align with its goals,” said Mayor Sandi Christman.  “Quality people are hard to find and quality individuals are equally rare.  Kyle is both.”

Christman said that the city has already begun a search for a new administrator.
