Friday, Aug. 26

Farmer’s Market: opens 8 a.m., Clock Corner Pavilion, corner of Milwaukee and Miller streets, Kewaunee.

Coffee with the Candidate: 9-10:30 a.m., Amy’s Coffee House, 406 Milwaukee St., Kewaunee.   Meet State Assembly candidate Lynn Utesch, stop by for a cup of coffee, and discuss any questions or concerns you may have for the 1st Assembly District.

Community Congregational Church Trout Boil: 4;30-7 p.m., 502 Center St., Kewaunee, fresh boiled Lake Superior trout, boiled potatoes, onion, carrots, cole slaw, rye bread, homemade pie, coffee and milk, Adults $11, ages 5-13 $5, under 5 free.

Peninsula Pride Farm Field/Demo Day: 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Schmidt Farms, N6723 Hillside Drive, Casco, discussions and demonstrations on cover crops and other soil health management issues and water quality, for more information call Don or Ann Niles at 920-837-2777.

Saturday, Aug. 27

Used book sale: 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., 1325 Ellis St, Kewaunee, sponsored by Friends of the Library.

Zoobilee: 2016: 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Bruemmer Park, E4280 County F, Kewaunee, a fundraiser benefiting Bruemmer Park Zoo, arts and crafts vendors, food and drinks, car show, 5K walk/run, wagon rides, kid’s activities, including petting zoo, mini-golf, teddy bear run, bounce houses.

Sunday, Aug. 28

St. Peter’s Catholic Church Kermiss: 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m., St. Peter’s Catholic Church, E 2591 County S, Casco, 9:30 a.m. sacred concert by St. Peter’s Adult Mixed Choir, 10:15 a.m. Polka Mass outdoors 1-5 p.m., featuring Clete Bellin’s orchestra under the direction of Joe Jerabeki, live music from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Rollie Ferron and his Country Memories, hardwood dance floor, homemade Belgian food, including chicken booyan, Belgian trippe, Belgian pies and more, time and talent raffle, children’s games and activities, parcel post and silent auction.

Kewaunee County Farmer’s Market: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., The Flying Pig, N6945 Wisconsin 42, Algoma.   Local food and farm products, fruits, produce, fresh egss, baked bread, jams, jellies and canned goods. REN Grill serves organic burgers and brats.

Kewaunee Music in the Park: 5:30-8 p.m., Harbor Park, corner of Harrison and Milwaukee St., Kewaunee,  music by the Greatest Hits Polka Band.

Monday, Aug. 29

Public Forum on 2017 Kewaunee County Budget: 6:30 p.m., Luxemburg Fairgrounds, Third Street,, Luxemburg, public meeting to discuss the 2017 county budget with the county Finance Committee and county administration.

Tuesday, Aug. 30

Algoma Optimists Club: 7 a.m., Caffe Tlazo, 607 Fourth St., Algoma.

Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce Dinner Meeting: 6 p.m. social, 7 p.m. dinner, Billy’s on Main, 742 Main St, Luxemburg, Glenn Schlender, Luxemburg-Casco School District administrator, $10, all meetings are open to the public.

Thursday, Sept. 1

Kewaunee County Draft Issuance: 8 a.m.-noon, Kewaunee Co. Public Health Dept., 810 Lincoln St, Kewaunee.

Healthy Choices Market: 9 a.m.-1 p.m., 810 Lincoln St, Kewaunee, Health and Human Services, lower level, variety of vegetables for sale.

Kewaunee Rotary Club: 11:45 a.m., Port O’Call, 310 Milwaukee St., Kewaunee, $11 for lunch and presentation, all are welcome.

Little Sprouts Playgroup: 9:30-10:30 a.m., St. Paul’s Lutheran School, 1115 Division St., Algoma, play room time, Bible story circle time and gym time for children 0-5 years old with their caregivers, free.

Friday, Sept. 2

Kewaunee Immunization Clinic: 9-11 a.m., Kewaunee Co. Public Health Dept, 810 Lincoln St, Kewaunee, appt required, call 920-388-7160.

Saturday, Sept. 3

Modified Tractor Pull: noon-5 p.m., Cedar Valley Campground, N5098 Cedar Valley Road, Kewaunee, food and refreshments, music by AJ DJ from 7 p.m.-midnight, for more information call 920-388-4983.
