Kewaunee County asks voters to be ready for Election Day

Kewaunee County is asking that eligible voters be registered and have photo identification in hand before heading to the polls to cast their ballots on Election Day this Tuesday, Nov. 8, as high turnout is expected with the presidential race.
Kewaunee County Clerk Jamie Annoye reported that at least seven percent of eligible voters in Kewaunee County have already cast absentee ballots with their municipal clerks. Annoye advised those who need to vote ahead of the election to contact their municipal clerks to make immediate arrangements by Nov. 4.
“Our goal is for all eligible voters to be able to cast a ballot and have that ballot counted,” Annoye said.
Who is an eligible voter? An eligible voter is a person who is at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen and has resided at his or her current address for at least 10 days prior to Election Day, according to the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board.
