Balanced scoring leads Kewaunee in Oshkosh West tourney

Kewaunee 61, Xavier 38

OSHKOSH – Four players scored in double figures to lead Kewaunee over Xavier in the first round of the Oshkosh West holiday tournament.

Brooke Geier scored 16 points, Angie Kudick and Abby Baumgartner added 12 apiece and Sara Dax had 10 for the Storm (8-1), which played Eau Claire North in Wednesday’s championship game.

ALGOMA – Maddie Koch tallied 15 points for the Jaguars, who ground out a tough road victory.

Lucy Wiese recorded eight points for Algoma (4-7), while Alli Spitzer scored seven.

ALGOMA – Courtney Guilette sank three three-point baskets and finished with 11 points to lead the Wolves over Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran in a Packerland Conference game.

Lucy Wiese added 10 points for Algoma (4-2 Packerland).

The Blazers (3-3, 4-6) were led by Taylor Natzke, who scored 11.

Luxemburg-Casco 69, Southern Door 55

BRUSSELS – Cassie Schiltz, Mary Cravillion and Jenna Jorgensen each scored 18 points to lead Luxemburg-Casco (6-1) to a nonconference victory over a tough Southern Door squad.

Megan Pavlik scored 16 points and Tehya Bertrand had 11 for Southern Door (7-3).
