College honors

•Mikaela Gunderson, Casco, earned a bachelor’s degree in human physiology from the University of Iowa at the close of the fall 2016 semester.

• Samantha Kiesner, daughter of Jason and Victoria Kiesner of Kewaunee, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2016 semester.

•Kennedy Blahnik, Morgan Pagenkopf, Algoma; Joshua Kuehl, Dayna Schneider, Kewaunee; and Alecia Cherney, Kristen Cherney, Taylor Iverson, Makayla Liebeck, Abbie Peters, Suzi Treml, Haley Yagodinski, Luxemburg, were recognized for academic achievement during the first semester of the 2016-17 academic year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

•Karissa LeCaptain, Algoma, graduated summa cum laude in December with a bachelor’s degree in community health from St. Cloud (Minn.) State University.

• Garrett Schaetz, Kewaunee, earned a bachelor’s degree in soil and waste resources from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in December. Bachelor’s degrees were also earned by these Luxemburg grads: Ryan Deprey, elementary education; Kimberly Lackey, psychology, sociology, Spanish; and Marissa Loberger, health science-pre-occupational therapy.

•Ty Grovogel, Algoma; Siana Beukema and Maxwell Marsh, Luxemburg, are among the students honored for academic achievement at the University of Wisconsin-Stout for the fall 2016 semester.
