ADRC distributes senior farmers market vouchers

The Aging & Disability Resource Center of the Lakeshore is distributing Wisconsin Senior Farmers Market vouchers at six locations throughout Kewaunee County in early and mid-June.

Eligible recipients will receive $25 worth of vouchers that can be used at local farmers markets and farm stands. They can be used to purchase only Wisconsin-grown fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs.

Recipients must be 60 years old or older; have an annual income of $22,311 or less for a single person or $30,044 or less for a couple; and be residents of Kewaunee County.

Vouchers will be distributed:

• From 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 7 at St. John Lutheran Church, 700 Heritage Road, Luxemburg;

• 10:30 a.m. to noon June 12, St. Louis Catholic Church, N8726 County Line Road, Dyckesville;

• 10 to 11:30 a.m. June 13, Casco Housing Unit, 201 Wisner Ave.;

• 10:30 a.m. to noon June 15, Algoma United Methodist Church, 804 Parker Ave.;

• 1 to 2:30 p.m. June 15, Grand View Terrace Apartments, 145 Grandview Court, Algoma;

• 10 to 11:30 a.m. June 16, Community Congregational Church, 502 Center St., Kewaunee.

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Vouchers will be distributed immediately. Representatives will explain the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program and how to use the vouchers at these distribution times.
