KEWAUNEE – So far, 24 persons are vying for 20 seats on the Kewaunee County Board of Supervisors, and the deadline to file papers is near.

A spring general election has been set for April 3 and all but two districts have at least one candidate, according to the Kewaunee County Clerk’s office.

In order to run, county residents must be 18 years or older, be a U.S. citizen, and must have nomination papers filed with at least 20 signatures from residents in the candidate’s district.

The deadline to file papers is Tuesday, at the clerk’s office, 810 Lincoln St., in Kewaunee. The office will be closed on Monday for New Year’s Day, but is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Kewaunee County Clerk Jamie Annoye encourages interested parties to contact her office immediately for paperwork and reminds those with completed paperwork, to turn it in as soon as possible.

District maps can be found at kewauneeco.org under the “District Maps” tab on the left side of the homepage.
