Kewaunee County primary election results
KEWAUNEE COUNTY – Incumbent Sandi Christman and challenger James Kleiman III will face off for mayor of Kewaunee in April after they placed first and second in Tuesday’s primary election.
Christman garnered 204 votes, while Kleiman had 143. Joseph R. Mills earned 57 votes and was eliminated from the race.
In Kewaunee County Board races:
Cory Cochart and Mark Kusniesz advanced from the primary with 116 and 71 votes, respectively, in District 2, the Town oi Lincoln, while Joseph Musial was eliminated from contention with 17. Cochart and Kusniesz are seeking to replace incumbent Sup. Larry Kirchman, who chose not to run.
In District 10, the Town of Franklin, Thomas Cretney (60 votes) and John P. Wochos (44) will be on the ballot to replace retiring Sup. Ron Paider. Duane Ducat was third with 33 votes.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court primary for a new justice saw Sauk County Circuit Judge Michael Screnock and Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Rebecca Dallet advance to the April general election, while Madison attorney Tim Burns placed third and was eliminated from consideration. In Kewaunee County, Screnock earned 1,043 votes, Dallet 596 and Burns 262.
The general election is scheduled for April 3.
