ALGOMA – Scenic Shore Inn is holding a groundbreaking at 10 a.m. March 16 for its new motel and conference facility.

A rendering of what the new Scenic Shore Inn's new motel and conference center will look like when completed.

Locally owned and operated by Bob Davis, Laurie and Kristina Griffin, Scenic Shore Inn is intended to provide a quiet, scenic, small-town stay overlooking Lake Michigan coupled with a convenient location minutes from Door County and Green Bay.

The new eight-guestroom, two-kitchenette, two-story motel will also feature a conference area, gathering space, indoor swimming pool and sauna with a large outdoor deck overlooking a wildlife-filled view. These added amenities will be available to the community for public use.

Bayland Buildings, Inc. of Green Bay has been chosen as the general contractor for the upcoming project.

Enhanced tourism to the area has recently increased demand for hospitality facilities.

“We continuously strive to accommodate and exceed our guests' expectations and know this type of space will do just that,” Davis said. “This project will not only benefit our guests but also our own community.”

Scenic Shore Inn is at 2221 Lake St., Algoma. For more information, call 920-487-3214 or go to www.scenicshoreinn.com.
