KEWAUNEE – The Aug. 11 primary for the Nov. 3 election in Kewaunee County will not have a contested race after the deadline to file nominations papers for partisan races passed at 5 p.m. Monday.

One local person declared candidacy for a national office, although it's not yet certain he will be on the ballot: Robbie Hoffman of Luxemburg, an independent candidate to represent District 8 in the U.S. Congress. As of press time, approval of Hoffman's nomination was pending with the Wisconsin Elections Commission. Hoffman would run against incumbent Rep. Mike Gallagher of Green Bay, a Republican, and Democrat challenger Amanda Stuck of Appleton if he gets on the ballot.

The only local races on the ballot have incumbents running unopposed as they seek to retain their seats.

Here are the races:

Congressional District 8

Democrat: Amanda Stuck, Appleton

Republican: Rep. Mike Gallagher (i), Green Bay

Assembly District 1

Democrat: Kim Delorit Jensen, Egg Harbor

Republican: Joel Kitchens (i), Green Bay

District Attorney

Democrat: Andrew Naze (i), Luxemburg

County Clerk

Democrat: Jamie Annoye (i)

Treasurer

Republican: Michelle Dax (i)

Register of Deeds

Democrat: Germaine Bertrand (i)
