Kewaunee County school boards will have contested races for L-C, Algoma in spring election

KEWAUNEE COUNTY – Contested races are taking place for two of three school boards in Kewaunee County.
The Luxemburg-Casco School Board has three candidates running for the two seats up for election. Current board members Bob Berceau and Linda Jonet, who serves as treasurer, will be challenged by Brandi Kollross.
The Algoma School Board has four candidates for two seats with the incumbents in those seats seeking reelection. Challengers Christopher Schley and Shannon Larson will run against board President Barb Rodgers and member Joann Wiesner.
Three seats on the Kewaunee School Board are up for election with just two candidates, both incumbents, signed up to run. Vice president Chase Pagel is running unopposed for the board's at-large seat and board member Jerald Charles is unopposed as the candidate for the city seat. No one filed papers to run for the unincorporated seat, so a write-in vote will determine the winner.
The spring election will take place April 5.
