Mary G. Davister, 75, Humboldt, died Tuesday, August 1, 2023, after a valiant 4 ½ year battle with multiple myeloma.  She was born January 24, 1948, to the late George & Mary (Shefchik) Treml in Kewaunee County. Mary graduated from Luxemburg High School in 1965 and was united in marriage to Dale J. Davister on  October 1, 1966, at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. He preceded her in death on August 28, 2021. She ran a dairy farm in Sugarbush until 1990, worked at Pott’s Cheese Factory then ran a horse stable and carriage business up until her illness.  Mary had a deep Catholic faith and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish being involved in many ministries; serving as a catechism teacher for 20 years, Eucharistic Minister and Seven Sisters prayer group to name a few. Her enjoyments included tending to the horses, shooting pool, tractor pulling, knitting, baking, shopping which earned her the nickname “Glamma”, routine outings with girlfriends, the YMCA Silver Sneaker group, her competition with Dad on who could figure out the daily word jumble first for a buck and time visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Denise & Robert Stahl, Lisa & Robert Wessel both of Luxemburg, Dave & Tammy Davister, Maryville, TN, Nicki & Kevin Strebel, New Franken. Grandchildren: Denise’s children Jessica (Michael) Woulf, Will Stahl; Lisa’s children Zach (Justina) Wessel, Bobbi Sue (Phillip) Vogels, Louie (Jessica Liebeck); Dave & Tammy’s children Shawn & Renee Dollar; Nicki’s children Tyler, Brody & Jordy Strebel. Great-grandchildren Mickenzie, Madison & Malcolm Wessel, Madeline & Jack Woulf. Brothers and sisters, Sister Johanna Treml, John Shutter, Pat Lufter, Ben & Barb Treml, Victor & Linda Treml, Rita DeGrave, Mark & Cindy Treml, Roland & Jean Treml, Terri & Bill Jerabek, Kay & Gary Grunwald; brothers in law and sisters in law, Fred & Bonnie Davister, Sharon & Ken Pieschek, Lynn & Len Whipp Godchildren: Missy Haen, Debbie Kroll & Amy Grunwald and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale; her parents; one brother Paul Treml; two sisters, Ronnie (Gene) Blahnik and Reggie Shutter; her father in law and mother in-law, Ardeal and Dolores (Tilkens) Davister; brothers in law and sisters-in-law, Butch Lufter, Darwin DeGrave, Glen & Tony Davister, Sandy (Steve) Kielpikowski.

 Friends and family may call between 9:00 am and 1:15 pm on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 5930 Humboldt Rd, Luxemburg.  Mass of Christian Burial 1:30 pm on Tuesday at the church with Rev. Carlo Villaluz officiating.  Burial in St. Mary Cemetery in the Township of Humboldt.
