2 teens hospitalized after crash near Pilsen

TOWN OF MONTPELIER – Two 16-year-old drivers were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Saturday morning in Kewaunee County.

The Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department responded at 10:39 a.m. Saturday to the accident at Kewaunee County V and Pine Grove Road in the town of Montpelier, about two miles southeast of Pilsen.

A 2006 Chevrolet truck driven by Brennan Schweiner of Denmark, traveling north on County V, struck a 2008 Ford Fusion driven by Paige Kassner of Kewaunee, traveling west on Pine Grove Road, the department said.

Schweiner was transported to Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay by Luxemburg Rescue. Kassner was taken to the same hospital by Eagle III helicopter medical transport.

Their conditions were not disclosed. The accident remains under investigation.
