Algoma community to host 16th Halloween Walk

Posted

ALGOMA – Every year members of the Algoma community and fellow students gather together and organize a Halloween Walk for children of all ages and 2024 marks its 16th year.

“As a non-profit organization, the Halloween Walk’s goal is to give children a safe and fun opportunity to meet their favorite TV/Movie characters. Children dress in their Halloween costumes and walk through Algoma High School’s hallways where they see their favorite characters come to life. This year’s walk will feature Barbie, Elsa in her castle, Inside Out, a walk through Batman’s Cave, your favorite Disney princesses, Toy Story, Haunted House and many more,” a release from organizers said.

“After the walk you are invited to visit our craft area, energy, games, bake sale and concessions. The craft area offers temporary tattoos, Halloween crafts, Halloween Movies and more. The energy zone features bouncy houses, an obstacle course and a Lego building station. Also, don’t forget to take a ride on our beloved Thomas the Train. We are also happy to announce that Mischief & Magic Entertainment will be joining this year’s Halloween Walk to offer glitter tattoos.”

The 16th annual Halloween Walk takes place on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. – noon at Algoma High School, 1715 Division Street Algoma.

“The Algoma Halloween Walk is an organization that prides itself on creating an opportunity for our students, big and small, and our community. We utilize our middle and high school students as actors and strive each year to create a better event than last. We also have Algoma alumni and local community members who volunteer their time and talents to help make this event possible.
