A 22-year-old Algoma man was seriously injured Tuesday evening when he drove into the rear of a farm wagon on a Kewaunee County highway.
The Sheriff's Department reported that deputies responded at 6:44 p.m. to the accident on County C at Hawk Road in the town of Lincoln.
The accident involved a farm implement pulling a self unloading wagon which was traveling southbound on County C attempting to turn left onto Hawk Road when it was struck from behind by a Honda Prelude.
The farm Implement was operated by a 32-year-old man from Kewaunee who was not injured. The driver of the Prelude was treated for "substantial injuries" by Luxemburg Rescue and Lincoln First Responders and then transported by Eagle III (Medical Air Transport) to a medical facility in Green Bay.
The accident remains under investigation by the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department.
