Algoma Public Library invites community to annual Outdoor Movie Night

Posted

ALGOMA – Algoma Public Library invites community members to enjoy a free evening of family-friendly fun at its annual Outdoor Movie Event on Friday, July 31 at Legion Park.

Since 2016, Outdoor Movie Night has been a summer tradition in Algoma, bringing families, friends and neighbors together for a free community event. This event is made possible through a partnership between Algoma Public Library, the Algoma Community Development Committee and Algoma Library Friends.

The fun begins at 5 p.m. with hands-on STEM activities presented by Einstein’s Sandbox. The movie will begin at 7 p.m. at Legion Park, 620 Lake St., Algoma.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and their favorite snacks and settle in for a relaxing summer evening. Free popcorn will be available (one per person while supplies last).

“We’re excited to continue this community tradition and provide a free event that brings people together,” said Library Director Cathy Kolbeck. “Whether you’re coming for the STEM activities, supporting the DI fundraiser or simply enjoying the movie with family and friends, we hope everyone will join us for a fun evening at the park.”

Information about the featured movie is available through the library.
