ALGOMA -- Algoma High School and nearby St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran School were locked down for about 35 minutes early Tuesday afternoon because of an incident near the schools.
Officers responded to a call about the incident shortly before noon, which is when the lockdowns began, said Kewaunee County Sheriff's Deputy Mark Jandrin. He said the lockdowns were just a safety precaution, and the incident was resolved and the lockdowns lifted about 12:35 p.m.
The schools are several blocks apart from each other: St. John's is at 1115 Division St and the high school is at 1715 Division St.
