KEWAUNEE – A Casco woman who died of injuries from a weekend snowmobile crash wasn't wearing a helmet, authorities said Tuesday.

A female was struck and apparently killed in Milwaukee Saturday night.

The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department said Kelly Giese, 47, was on a snowmobile driven by 34-year-old Adam Wanta, of Luxemburg, when Wanta hit a fence post about 11 p.m. Saturday on Pheasant Road in Casco. Both Giese and Wanta were thrown off the snowmobile. Giese hit her head on the fence post.
