Claire Kohnle named Chancellor’s Scholar-Athlete at UW-Whitewater

KEWAUNEE – Claire Kohnle, a Communication major from Kewaunee and member of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater softball team, was one of 82 Warhawks who were recognized as 2024-25 Chancellor’s Scholar-Athletes presented by Northwestern Mutual.

Kohnle was recognized in a ceremony on May 5 at the James R. Connor University Center by Chancellor Corey A. King and Director of Athletics Ryan Callahan.

To be recognized as Scholar-Athletes, student-athletes must have maintained a 3.25 cumulative grade point average or above through the end of the 2024 fall semester. Honorees must have participated in a varsity sport for two years, must be of senior academic status and must have accumulated at least 90 degree credits.

Each Scholar-Athlete received a commemorative gift.
