Create holiday magic at the Belgian Heritage Center

The organization will offer mosaic glass workshops

Posted

BRUSSELS – The Belgian Heritage Center invites the community to celebrate the holiday season with two festive Mosaic Glass Workshops led by Gary Chaudoir of Chaudoir Glass Studio. These hands-on events aim to combine creativity, craftsmanship and a touch of holiday spirit — tailored for friends, families and anyone who loves to make something beautiful for the season.

The Mosaic Glass Workshop will take place on Friday, Nov. 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Workshop participants will design their own mosaic glass ornaments under the guidance of local artist Gary Chaudoir. Choose from 15 different precut shapes and thousands of colorful, tumbled stained-glass chips to create a unique ornament.

This family-friendly event is fun for all ages. Reservations are recommended for groups of four or more — for reservations, please contact Julie Rheingans at contact@belgianheritagecenter.org or by phone at 920-619-6363 with an arrival time and group size. Participants are asked to arrive by 2 p.m. at the latest to allow plenty of time to complete their creations.

The Christmas Spirits Glass Workshop will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6 from noon to 5 p.m.

Gather your friends for a little Christmas spirit — and spirits — at this festive afternoon session. Attendees will create their own mosaic suncatcher or ornament while enjoying two beverages (wine, craft beer or non-alcoholic) and a charcuterie buffet featuring Belgian chocolates and a selection of fine cheeses courtesy of Renard’s Cheese.

This workshop is adults-only (ages 21+) and all participants will be entered in a special drawing to win a little extra Christmas cheer. Walk-ins are welcome, but advance reservations are encouraged to ensure group seating. For reservations, please contact Julie Rheingans at contact@belgianheritagecenter.org or by phone at 920-619-6363.

Both workshops will be held at the Belgian Heritage Center, located at 1255 County Rd. DK, Brussels.

Celebrate the holidays with creativity, community and a touch of Belgian tradition at these joyful mosaic workshops.
