ALGOMA – Dalum Beverage Equipment, located in Søndersø Denmark, recently announced the opening of its North America office in Algoma.
Dalumis — a manufacturer of CO2 collection units designed specifically for craft brewers and distillers —is dedicated to the capture of CO2 from the fermentation process.
The Dalum USA office is located at 507 Navarino St., Algoma, and is headed by managing director, John Kiedrowski.
The Dalum USA sales, technical support, and spare parts for the U.S. and Canada will be located in Algoma.
Company administration is managed by Chet Kiedrowski and Eric Dean is the sales manager for North America.
The Dalum collection technology was designed by Kim Christian Dalum of Denmark, founder of the Company.
Dalum installed their first CO2 Recovery Plant in 2020 at Danish brewery ØrbækBryggeri.
During the fermentation process CO2 is collected, cleaned, liquified, stored and is then ready to be used in all steps of future beer production.
Dalum estimates that a 20,000 barrel brewery could capture 50 tons of CO2 per year and save 100 tons of emission by not purchasing CO2 from gas suppliers.
This is equivalent to taking more than 32 cars off the road.
