KEWAUNEE COUNTY - It is once again time for children across the county to grab a basket or bag and head out in search of brightly colored, prize-holding plastic eggs. Plus, there's chances to get a picture taken with a giant, two-legged rabbit.
It's Easter weekend, and egg hunts and Easter-related children's events are planned all over Kewaunee County.
The nooks, crannies and shelves of the Algoma Public Library will provide cover for eggs as it holds an Easter Egg Hunt from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 19.
Hunters can find eggs hidden in the library that contain prizes. After finding five eggs, kids can play a game, make an Easter craft, listen to Easter stories and go on an Easter scavenger hunt. The library says plenty of eggs will be hidden, so hunters can arrive at any time during the event.

The Algoma Parks and Recreation Department invites children and families to Breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Algoma Youth Club, 620 Lake St.
It's a continental-style breakfast with muffins, baked goods and beverages provided. Children can plant a pansy from Schroeder's Flowers to take home and take part in crafts, face painting and games in the gym. Adults can join a spring bulb basket class given by Schroeder's; cost is $20 and those interested should call to sign up.

An indoor Easter egg hunt is part of the sixth annual "Pick-a-Chick Day" from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Rio Creek Country Store (formerly Walters of Rio Creek).
The first 250 children to arrive will receive a free chick, and Walters is offering a 10% discount on in-stock poultry and feed supplies.
Along with the egg hunt, kids can decorate Easter cookies, color a picture (copies of the picture also can be downloaded from the store's Facebook page) and have their photos taken not only with the Easter Bunny but also the Easter Chick. Also, Miss Green Bay Area Kaylee Vermeern and Miss Green Bay Area Outstanding Teen Elizabeth Black will be on hand.

An Easter egg hunt to benefit Lakeshore Community Food Pantry takes place from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Hollyhock House and Gardens, 1408 Dodge St., Kewaunee.
Held for ages 12 and younger, the hunt begins at 1:15 p.m. and continues until all the eggs are found, including the special coin-filled Golden Eggs. Children also are entered into a raffle for special prizes. The Easter Bunny will be on hand for photo opportunities.
Admission is free for egg hunters; others are requested to bring a nonperishable food donation, which will earn a raffle ticket; additional raffle tickets are $1 each.

The Bank of Luxemburg sponsors its annual Easter Bonanza from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Luxemburg Community Center, Second and Peter streets.
Children can hunt down Easter eggs (bring own baskets), play games, get their faces painted and take pictures with the Easter Bunny. The weather that day will determine if the event is held indoors or out.
