Jeffrey Lee Borkovetz

Jeffrey Lee Borkovetz, 57, formerly of Sturgeon Bay, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025 at The Village of Eden Vista in the Village of Allouez.

He was born on March 11, 1968 in Two Rivers, the youngest of eight children, to Robert Frank and Esther Ann (Dax) Borkovetz. In June 1990, Riverside School in Lee County, FL awarded Jeff a high school graduation special diploma "prescribed for exceptional students."

Jeff was the inspiration of his parents, Bob and Esther, along with Carl Scholz and many other parents, seeking a better opportunity for children with special needs in the community. With local support in 1971, Sunshine House (now known as Sunshine Resources) was started. Jeff worked and grew along with Sunshine House for some 30 years. Jeff won over everyone's hearts and wore his emotions on his sleeve for all to see. He needed to impress no one but unknowingly he warmed the hearts of those who knew him. God Bless you, Jeff!

Jeff was proud of each and every one of his family, both individually and as a whole. He cherished the time gathered together and had fun; those were by far Jeff's best days! Jeff will be missed by his siblings, Tom (Julie), Jerry (Sally), Sandy (David), Bob (Barb), Rick (Heidi), Ken (Janel), and John (Laura); many nieces and nephews, and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay on Saturday, November 15, 2025 followed by a procession to Corpus Christi Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum.
