KEWAUNEE COUNTY – In honor of National 4-H Week — Oct.1-7 — Kewaunee County 4-H is hosting a Fall Fest Open House on Saturday, Oct. 7, 1-3 p.m., at the Kewaunee County fairgrounds.
“Learn more about what 4-H is, make a fun craft, enjoy a frozen treat, and meet 4-H families,” an event release stated.
“All youth in grades K – 13 (one year out of high school) can participate in 4-H. 4-H provides real life experiences for youth through a fun and practical, learn-by-doing educational program. Parents, other interested adults and youth themselves can help young people develop the confidence, social skills, decision-making abilities and subject matter knowledge that they need to lead a richer, fuller life and to be responsible citizens.”
Part of the UW-Madison Division of Extension Positive Youth Development Institute, there are currently ten 4-H clubs in Kewaunee County.
