Kewaunee County Board Chairman Ron Heuer defeated

In a Kewaunee County election upset, Mary "Mimi" Dobbins defeated Kewaunee County Board Chairman Ron Heuer by a vote of 260 to 192 in the county supervisor District 12 race.

Dobbins win means that the Kewaunee County Board will elect new leadership at its April board meeting.

"As I worked on my campaign, I valued meeting neighbors and learning about their concerns," said Dobbins, who was celebrating at The Cork restaurant with supporters Tuesday night.

She said that water issues and economic development continued to be the concern of voters.

"I look forward to working with the other county board supervisors and county employees,' she said.

Heuer has served on the county board for the past four years, the last two years as chairman.
