KEWAUNEE COUNTY – The Kewaunee County Public Health Department is proud to announce the Kewaunee County Giving Tree, held in honor of Sara Malay, and invites the community to help spread holiday cheer by supporting local residents in need.
This annual initiative encourages individuals, families, businesses and community groups to donate healthy, non-perishable food items or make monetary contributions. All donations will be distributed to Kewaunee County food pantries to directly support households facing food insecurity during the holiday season.
Donations should be brought to the Kewaunee County Health and Human Services Building at 810 Lincoln St. Donations are accepted Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The department asks donors drop off healthy, non-perishable food items. If you choose to make a monetary donations, please be sure to note “Giving Tree” on your donation.
“This effort is an important way our community comes together to support one another, and honoring Sara Malay adds even deeper meaning to this tradition,” said Public Health Director Cindy Kinnard “Every contribution helps brighten the season for families who need it most.”
Community members are encouraged to participate throughout the holiday season to ensure local food pantries are well stocked and able to meet increased demand.
