Algoma Mayor's Luncheon: 11 a.m. cash bar, noon luncheon, Hotel Stebbins, 201 Steele St., Algoma. Honoree Mary Nelson. $12 per person. For reservations, call 920-487-5203.

Algoma Shanty Days: Book sale on Library lawn, Fourth and Fremont, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Main grounds open 3 p.m.-midnight. Modern Day Drifters 4-8 p.m., Star Six Nine  8 p.m.-midnight.

Saturday, Aug. 13

Algoma Shanty Days: Main grounds open 11 a.m.-midnight (free admission 11 a.m.-3 p.m.), Car Cruise from Kewaunee Fabrication downtown 11:30 a.m., parade at noon, Arts and Crafts Fair and Street Vendor Fair 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Music: The Del Rays 1-4 p.m., Spitfire Rodeo 4-8 p.m., The Groove Station 8 p.m.-midnight.

Used book sale: 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., 1325 Ellis St., Kewaunee. Sponsored by Friends of the Library.

Von Stiehl Winery Cuisine Concert Series: 12:30-4 p.m., featuring The Jenirators. Various wines will be matched with cuisine from Skaliwags.

Sunday, Aug. 14

Algoma Shanty Days: Main grounds open 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Arts and Crafts Fair and Street Vendor Fair 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Music: High School Entertainment 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Led West 12:30-4:30 p.m., Spice 4:30-8:30 p.m. Algoma Community Band on Elementary School lawn, noon. Fireworks at dusk.

Kewaunee County Farmers Market: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., The Flying Pig, N6945 Wisconsin 42, Algoma. Local food and farm products, fruits, produce, fresh eggs, baked bread, jams, jellies and canned goods, REN Grill serves organic burgers and brats. Serving Farmer's Market breakfast (French Toast and sausage) from 10 a.m.- 11 a.m.

Kewaunee Music in the Park: 5:30-8 p.m., Harbor Park, downtown Kewaunee, Copper Box.

Algoma Summer Concerts in the Park: 6 p.m., Algoma Community Band, 7 p.m., Katz Sass, Heritage Park, Lake St., Algoma, free, bring your family and your lawn chairs and enjoy this lakeshore venue.

Casco Lions Days, Slow Pitch Tournament and sixth annual Casco All School Reunion: games start Friday evening, Saturday, games all day, free show 5-7 p.m., Let Me Be Frank Productions, Village Park, Casco, refreshments and food available all day, Sunday parade at 11 a.m. from Village Kitchen to Village Park.

Saturday, Aug. 20

Second annual VIP Poker Run:  10-11 a.m. registration.  Algoma Pizza Bowl, 401 Second St., Algoma with Tom Zalaski as MC.  Entry fee is $25 per hand and includes event T-Shirt.  The event starts at Algoma Pizza Bowl and other stops will include Janda's, Joe Rouer's, Basil's II and Waterfront.   At each stop, a participant will receive a card.   Return to Algoma Pizza Bowl by 4 p.m., cash prizes for top three poker hands and live auction, bucket raffle and other prizes.   Event benefits the Violence Intervention Project.
