Friday, July 29

Kewaunee Harbor Restoration Project Groundbreaking Ceremony: 12:30 p.m., Harbor Park, Kewaunee, featuring Gov. Scott Walker and Mayor Sandi Christman, refreshments to follow.  The public is invited to attend.

Algoma Public Library's First Outdoor Movie: 7 p.m. Legion Park, Algoma, Star Wars:   The Force Awakens, bring your blanket and chairs down to the park, raffle to benefit the library.

Saturday, July 30

Von Stiehl Winery Cuisine Concert Series: 12:30-4 p.m., featuring Cool School, various music will be matched by cuisine from Skaliwags.

HCE and Literacy Partners Pigroast Fundraiser: 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Kewaunee Harbor Park Shelter, pork will be prepared by master barbecue expert Brian Paplham, dinners include boiled red potatoes, rye bread, kraut and pulled pork.   An ala carte lunch, beverages and homemade pies will also be served.  Dine at a picnic table in the harbor or take out, for more information call Bob at 920-676-2061.

Krusin for Kids:  11 a.m., registration, CZ Bushville Lanes, 2280 County P, Luxemburg, finish line at Janda's Bar and Grill, N3696 County AB, Luxemburg, food, raffles, silent auction, live music by Annex 7-11 p.m, special guest Antique Rock Show, 4 p.m.

Sunday, July 31

Shepherd's Quarter Concert: 6:30 p.m., Algoma United Methodist Church, 804 Parker Ave. Algoma, this group of four vocalists and four band members has been together since 2007.  They share their ministry by singing contemporary Christian and worship music.   Enjoy root beer floats after the concert in the church Fellowship Hall., free.

Kewaunee County Farmer's Market: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., The Flying Pig, N6945 Wisconsin 42, Algoma, local food and farm products, fruits, produce, fresh eggs, baked bread, jams, jellies and canned goods, REN grill serving organic burgers and brats.

Kewaunee Music in the Park: 5:30-8 p.m., Harbor Park in downtown Kewaunee, Let Me Be Frank Productions, a humorous tribute show including artists from the 60s and 70s.

Tuesday, Aug. 2

Algoma Optimists: 7 a.m., Caffe Tlazo, 607 Fourth St, Algoma.

TOPS 36: 9 a.m., Knudson Hall, Community Center, 620 parkway, Algoma, use the Clark St. entrance, weight loss support group.

Thursday, Aug. 4

Kewaunee Rotary Club:  11:45 a.m., The Cork, 311 Ellis St., Kewaunee, $11 for food and presentation, all are welcome. 

Lunch and a Movie: 12:30 p.m., Algoma Public Library, 406 Fremont St. Algoma, Batman vs. Superman, PG-13., free, bring your own lunch.

Luxemburg Music in the Park:  5:30 p.m.tailgate, 6-8 p.m., Great Hits Polka Band, music for all occasions, tribute to Ken's son, Keeter, Ken and his band are well-known in the area and will have people swinging.

Algoma Summer Concerts in the Park: 6 p.m., opening act, 7 p.m., Heritage Park, Lake St.,  Mike and the Moonpies, bring your family and your lawnchairs and enjoy this lake shore venue.

Friday, Aug. 5

Knights of Columbus Brat/Hamburger Fry:  10 a.m.-3 p.m., Piggly Wiggly, 931 Marquette Drive, Kewaunee.

Saturday, Aug. 6 

Czech/Kolache Fest: 10 a.m., Ag/Heritage Farm, five miles south of Kewaunee on Wisconsin 42, activities begin Saturday morning with sale of kolaches and Czech chicken booyah and other desserts.  Featured in the beer tent will be jiternice, a liver sausage, vendors will sell articles from jewelry to T-shirts, and the blacksmith shop will be open for demonstrations and many of the historic buildings will be open for tours, admission is $8 with proceeds benefiting the Ag Heritage Farm..

Kewaunee City-Wide Rummage Sale: 8 a.m.-4 p.m., drive through the city for some great bargains. 

16th annual Summer Fundraiser: 3 p.m.-midnight, Carlton Fire Station, N1296 Town Hall Road, Carlton. Bean bag toss tournament, food and refreshments, kids bounce house, Antique Rock Show 7 p.m.-midnight, benefits Carlton Fire Department and First Responders

Sunday, Aug. 7

Czech/Kolache Fest:  9 a.m., Ag/Heritage Farm, five miles south of Kewaunee on Wisconsin 42, kolaches for sale and a polka Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m.followed by a Czech dinner beginning at 11:30 a.m. with a cost of $12. The Newtonburg Brass Band will entertain in the threshing barn and the Jim Pekol band will play from 1-4:30 p.m.,   The parade of the Kroj will be held at 2:30 p.m. along with a performance by the Moravian Dancers, admission is $8 with proceeds benefiting the Ag/Heritage Farm.
