Luxemburg Casco led 2-0 less than six minutes in, and made it hold up for a 4-2 North Eastern Conference win over Marinette on Sept. 22.

Austin Yunk and Malaki Wessel scored the quick goals for L-C (8-3-1, 4-0). Yunk and Antonio Thiry tallied scores in the second half in the win.

Carlos Jaimes and Denny Christoff assists on scores.

Keegan Sewell made six saves for the Spartans. Marinette’s goal scorers were not provided.

+ Gibraltar/Sevastopol scored four second-half goals and beat Kewaunee, 4-2, Sept. 22 in a high school boys soccer game in Fish Creek.

Tristan Warner scored in the 65th minute to break a 2-2 tie and Tom Safranski scored his second goal in the 88th minute to seal the win for the Vikings.

It was a reversal of fortunes for the Vikings, who lost to Kewaunee, 4-2, last week.

Benjamin Mastalir scored late in the first half to give the Storm a 1-0 lead.

The Vikings tied the game in the 49th minute on a goal by Erik Bosman, then took a 2-1 lead eight minutes later on a goal by Safranski.

The Storm tied the game at 2 on a goal by Jonah Schneider in the 64th minute, but the Vikings responded with two goals in the next 24 minutes to pull out the win.

+ Malaki Wessel registered a hat trick, as the Luxemburg-Casco boys soccer team rolled over Sheboygan Falls 6-0 on Sept. 21 in a nonconference match.

Wessel scored the game’s first goal seven minutes in, and added two more early in the first half. The Spartans (7-3-1).

Carlos Jaimes scored one and assisted on two others, while Antonio Thiry and Salvador Garcia also scored. Wessel and Austin Yunk added assists.

Keegan Sewell had three saves in goal for the shutout.

Jonah Schneider scored three goals to lead Kewaunee over Gibraltar/Sevastopol to a 4-2 victory over Gibraltar/Sevastopol on Sept. 17.

The Vikings took a quick 1-0 lead on a goal by Tom Safranski in the opening minute of the game, but they lost the momentum and couldn’t get it back.

Schneider scored on two penalty kicks for handball violations and the Storm took control of the game. Alex Hershfield also scored in the first half for the Storm.

Safranski scored both of the Vikings’ goals. Daniel Hallett and Erik Bosman had assists.

The game was delayed in the first half for about an hour because of lightning.

+ Jaden Stevenson netted a hat trick, while Noah Smith scored one goal to lead Sturgeon Bay to a 4-0  Packerland Conference win at Algoma on Sept. 17.

Dustin Laurent made 22 saves in goal for the Wolves in a game that was called final in the 77th minute.
