Kewaunee Farm Tech Days needs executive assistant

Kewaunee County Farm Technology Days has an opening for an Executive Assistant position.

According to the announcement, the position will:

  • Assist the chair and secretary with tasks as needed
  • Work directly with specific committees to complete specific tasks as deemed necessary by the chair and secretary
  • Remain apprised of the progress of the show’s organization and help the chair and secretary keep track of the various committee’s progress
  • Identify and evaluate planning needs of the show
  • Attend executive committee, all committee and other committee meetings as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

The job will start July 1, 2016, or near that date depending on applicant availability. Initially the job is expected to require 5-10 hours per week, increasing up to 40-plus hours per week as the show approaches.

Required skills are that the person must be self-motivated, with excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, proficiency in Microsoft Suite, an ability to interface with public via phone and email, and ability to perform tasks in a timely manner

The position earns $15 per hour as an independent contractor, with mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate. An additional $30 per month will be provided to cover personal phone, internet use and personal computer.
