The Kewaunee City Council Monday approved the appointment of Arthur J. Schiller to the 1st Aldermanic District seat and David Kuehl to the 4th Aldermanic District seat.
Schiller, an attorney, replaces Jeff Vollenweider who resigned earlier this year. Schiller was appointed to the council on a 3-2 vote opposing Kathy Brown, an EMT ambulance specialist, who had previously run for the council.
Kuehl is a police officer with the Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department. He was unopposed and will hold the seat previously held by Mayor Sandi Christman. He was unanimously approved by the City Council.
