MASON, MI – The National Trap Tournament was held July 6-9 in Mason, MI, and the Luxemburg-Casco (LC) team sent five sharpshooters.

On Friday, July 7, the team shot a qualifying score of 474/500 for 28th place, with only the top 80 teams out of 240 moving on to Sunday’s final round.

Saturday was individual qualifying, with only 400 of 1800 kids moving on and Ethan Buresh (91), Trey Vincent (95), Cole Anderson (96), Jacob Degrave (98) and Garrett Simonar (99) all made the cut. 

When the dust settled on Sunday’s finals, the Spartans finished with a score of 477/ 500 and took 21st place out of the 80 teams that qualified.

L-C had three in the individual Finals- Cole Anderson ended with a 99 of 100, Garrett Simonar 99 of 100 and Jacob Degrave  perfect score 100 of 100 and entered into a shoot off with 18 others.

At the end of the day Degrave finished 17th out of 1800 kids.

Simonar took 25th, and Cole Anderson finished 49th.
