LUXEMBURG – A select group of outstanding student musicians from Luxemburg-Casco High School have been nominated to represent their school, community, and the United States as members of the Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music (WAM) during the organization’s 2027 European Tour.
Students are nominated by their band or choir directors based on their musical ability, leadership, character and dedication to their school music program. Receiving a nomination is considered a significant honor, recognizing students who have demonstrated excellence both in the classroom and in their community.
For more than three decades, the Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music has provided exceptional young musicians with the opportunity to perform throughout Europe while serving as musical ambassadors for the United States. The tour combines world-class performances with unforgettable educational and cultural experiences, allowing students to share the universal language of music while developing friendships and memories that last a lifetime. During the approximately two-week tour, participants will perform in some of Europe’s most beautiful and historic venues while visiting iconic destinations in England, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Participation in the program is entirely self-funded, and many students spend months working to earn sponsorships and organize fundraisers to help make the experience affordable. Community businesses, organizations, families and individuals often play an important role in helping students achieve this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Students nominated from Luxemburg-Casco include:
• Isaac Dart
• Carson Olson
• Elleana Ronsman
• Jay Kopkey
• Skyler Kopkey
Community members interested in supporting a nominated student through sponsorship or fundraising efforts are encouraged to contact the fundraising coordinator at wamfundraising22@gmail.com.
