A Luxemburg firetruck is out of commission and a firefighter hospitalized after a rollover while responding to a fire call Wednesday afternoon.

The operator of this Luxemburg fire tender was injured in a one-vehicle rollover while responding to a fire call Wednesday afternoon.

The Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department reports that the fire tender vehicle was en route while en route to a fire on County F in the town of Montpelier at 4:42 p.m., when it went out of control while southbound on County AB at Jahnke Road.

The driver of the fire truck, a 36-year-old Luxemburg man, was the lone occupant of the vehicle and was transported to Aurora Baycare Medical Center. His condition was not released, and no other vehicles are believed to be involved in the accident.

The accident remains under investigation by the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department with the assistance of the Wisconsin State Patrol.
