Memory Cafés return to Kewaunee

Posted

KEWAUNEE – The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of the Lakeshore is excited to announce the return of Memory Cafés to the county.

Memory Cafés welcome those experiencing early-stage dementia, mild memory loss or cognitive impairment, as well as their family and friends, to a friendly, safe and supportive gathering meant to bolster community connection and encourage socialization. They are free, contribution-based events hosted by the Dementia Care Specialist from the ADRC of the Lakeshore, and may include presenters, activities and light refreshments.

The February Memory Café will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at the Kewaunee Public Library (822 Juneau Street). Attendees will be invited to celebrate Mardi Gras with a themed trivia game and mask making.

Reservations are not required. For more information, please call Morgan at the ADRC of the Lakeshore at 1-877-416-7083.
