The company is able to deliver high quality, custom blown model design and delivery with a quick turnaround and excellent customer service to Midwest manufacturing companies.
"Our SQF certification will give our customers confidence that they are providing a safe and high quality product to consumers," said Mike Rekitzke, president and CEO. Additionally, manufacturers will find we are very agile and flexible in meeting their diverse needs."
Recent concerns about food safety and tracking contamination prompted the company to make a significant investment in the 18-month certification process. The Level 2 SQF certification helps to prevent, rather than react, to problems that can cause foodborne illness.
The process requires environmental monitoring, allegen management, sanitation control, traceability and corrective actions. The company will be subject to inspections and is responsible for tracking incoming materials and providing lot number bookends.
The Safe Quality Food (SQF) program is recognized by retailers and foodservice providers around the world as a rigorous and credible food safety management system. It is the only certification system recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative.
