As the years passed, my classes got harder so it was important to set aside time to study and focus on my classes while practicing multiple times a week.

What is your favorite part about this sport? What is the most challenging part about this sport?

My favorite part about softball is being able to compete at a high level while also getting to play alongside my best friends. The most challenging part about softball is being in a slump and staying positive in tough situations.

Is there a professional athlete you look up to? If so, why?
Yes, Montana Fouts has always been someone I’ve looked up to because she is a great pitcher and is always confident on the mound.

Hitting a grand slam my junior year!

My favorite softball field I have played on is the Louisville Slugger complex in Illinois because of their amazing turf fields.

My goal in highschool was to commit to play college softball, now that I achieved that goal, I hope to keep improving my skills at the next level.

How does it feel as a senior, to look back throughout high school and see your growth (as a person and athlete)?

It’s great to see how far I’ve come not just in softball but as a person, I have met so many people who have become my best friends and I have learned valuable lessons that I can use throughout my life.

Do you have any pre-match rituals/routines/superstitions?
I always drink a Bubblr before the game.

Do you have a mantra/motivational quote/bible verse that helps you with your sport?
One of my coaches said to me “treat your 10’s like 10’s and your 2’s like 2’s” and it has stuck with me since then.

Any memorable coaches or teammates you’d like to shout out?
I’d like to shout out coach Jenna and coach Tanner who shaped me into the player and person I am for the last 8 years of travel softball.

Any hobbies outside of sports?
I love to play pickleball and go shopping with my friends.

What is the top song on your workout/warmup playlist?

My teammates and I always sing “The Sweet Escape” by Gwen Stefani on the bus ride home from away games.
