At what age did you start playing your sport?

Volleyball at 10 and trap at 12.

Who introduced you to the sport?

I started playing volleyball after watching my sister play. For trap, one of my childhood friends wanted a girl on the team to shoot with her since it was originally all guys.

How has balancing academics and athletics been different for you from your freshman year to your senior year?

It had gotten more difficult as the years went on since I was in the Rising Phoenix Program as well as working.

What is your favorite part about your sport? What about it has caused you to stick with it for this long?

The connection with girls that you wouldn’t have normally formed.

Any memorable coaches or teammates you’d like to give a shout out to?

Tonya Jones was one of my coaches all through high school as well as when I first started playing club volleyball in 5th grade. She has always been extremely supportive of me and knew how to get me out of my own head during stressful times.

Any hobbies outside of sports?

I enjoy hunting with my dad, playing cards, swimming and hanging out with my friends!

Future Plans? (college, major, career, etc.)

I am attending UW-Milwaukee this fall and majoring in nursing. I plan to be a traveling critical care nurse.
