Career Highlight: Going to State last year for volleyball.

At what age did you start playing your sport(s)?
I started playing my sports at a very young age.

Who introduced you to your sport(s)?
My parents, who supported me throughout all the years.

What is your favorite sport?
I enjoy playing all of my sports.

How has balancing academics and athletics been different for you from your freshman year to your senior year?
Balancing academics and athletics was something that I struggled with at first, but as I got older I learned better time-management to help me become more successful.

What is your favorite part about your sport(s)? What about it has caused you to stick with it for this long?

My favorite thing about my sports is all the friends that I have made along the way.

Is there a professional athlete you look up to? If so, who?
No.

What would you say is your biggest asset on the court?
Staying calm is one of my biggest assets especially in difficult, stressful situations.

What has been your most memorable experience in high school sports so far?
My most memorable experience is playing at the Resch Center in the state championship for volleyball my junior year.

How does it feel as a senior, to look back throughout high school and see your growth (as a person and athlete)?
Over the years I have learned to lead by example and learned to be a supportive teammate.

Do you have any pre-game rituals/routines/superstitions?

I try to rest before the game.

Do you take any extra steps to prepare for a big game, outside of regular training?
My Dad and I try to go to get some extra reps in before each game.

What has been your favorite experience with being a senior this year?
I have enjoyed all the fun senior activities.

Any memorable coaches or teammates you’d like to give a shout out to?
I would like to thank all of my coaches and teammates for always believing in me and pushing me to succeed.

Any hobbies outside of sports?
I like to do fun outdoor activities such as paddle boarding, jet skiing, biking and kyaking. I also enjoy shopping, and hanging out with friends and family.

Favorite food?

I like all Mexican food and candy.

Future Plans? (college, major, career, etc.)
I plan on getting a bachelor’s in radiologic sciences in hopes to become an X-ray tech in the future.
