At what age did you start playing your sport(s)?
I started playing football in third grade and started basketball in seventh grade.

Who introduced you to your sport(s)?

My parents and friends.

What is your favorite sport?
My favorite sport is football because of the brotherhood that it builds. Working hard and battling with your teammates on Friday nights is truly a one of a kind thing.

How has balancing academics and athletics been different for you from your freshman year to your senior year?
My approach to balancing school and sports changed drastically between my underclassman and upperclassman years. As a freshman and sophomore, my schedule was more manageable because I only took basic classes, leaving plenty of energy for athletics. That dynamic flipped during my junior and senior years when I joined the youth apprenticeship program. Working three days a week and attending school for two. Adding this extra workload while also being in sports taught me to be more efficient with my time.

What is your favorite part about your sport(s)? What about it has caused you to stick with it for this long?
My favorite part of the sports I played was competing alongside my friends. What caused me to stick with it for so long wasn’t just the love of the game, but the friendships I formed by pushing through tough practices and celebrating victories together.

Is there a professional athlete you look up to? If so, who?
I have always looked up to Tom Brady. He was an underdog going into the NFL but continued to work hard and bring consistency everyday.

What would you say is your biggest asset on the court/field/track?

I believe my biggest asset on the field and court is my communication skills and effort.

What has been your most memorable experience in high school sports so far?
Has to be winning conference in football.

How does it feel as a senior, to look back throughout high school and see your growth (as a person and athlete)?
As a senior, looking back at my high school journey is incredibly rewarding. As a freshman who was hesitant to even step onto the field, unsure if sports were for me. Now, I’m a senior who would 100% tell anyone to just try it. Sticking with it allowed me to grow not just as an athlete, but as a person and the best part was getting to do it all alongside my friends.

Do you have any pre-game rituals/routines/superstitions?
Listening to music and drinking a Liquid IV.

Do you take any extra steps to prepare for a big game, outside of regular training?
Watch film and study playbooks.

What has been your favorite experience with being a senior this year?

My favorite experience this year was either the trip out west with the senior class or graduation. Both of these experiences made me realize how important it is to live life to the fullest.

Any memorable coaches or teammates you’d like to give a shout out to?
I’d like to shout out to my football coach Mike Kruis for always believing in my ability even when I was undersized. I’d also like to shout out my teammate, friend, and quarterback Lane Cochart for always being there and pushing me for greater success.

Any hobbies outside of sports?
My hobbies outside of sports are hanging out with friends and family, traveling, and fishing.

Favorite food?
Everything.

Favorite movie/TV show?
My favorite movie is either Karate Kid or the Goonies.

Future Plans? (college, major, career, etc.)
Fox Valley Technical College - Electrician Apprenticeship.
