At what age did you start playing your sport(s)?

Around six years old.

Who introduced you to your sport(s)?
My parents.

What is your favorite sport?
I love both volleyball and softball.

How has balancing academics and athletics been different for you from your freshman year to your senior year?
It was challenging freshman year being a three-sport athlete. But as I’ve gone through highschool and doing two sports, I’ve gotten better at balancing school and sports with less stress.

What is your favorite part about your sport(s)? What about it has caused you to stick with it for this long?
I love the competitiveness and teamwork of sports. I’ve stuck with sports so long because I’m with my friends at practice and games. We always work hard, have a good time and are constantly laughing, it makes my day better when I have that I look forward to.

Is there a professional athlete you look up to? If so, who?

I look up to Bergen Riley, she’s the setter for Nebraska Volleyball. I admire her passion, skill and high IQ of the game. She always does what’s best for her team and never gives up.

What would you say is your biggest asset on the court/field?
I constantly try my hardest to do what’s best for the team on and off the court/field.

What has been your most memorable experience in high school sports so far?
Winning against Algoma this year in volleyball.

How does it feel as a senior, to look back throughout high school and see your growth (as a person and athlete)?
It feels good knowing that I’ve tried my best throughout my high school career. I’ve built new friendships and have grown into a more confident version of myself.

Do you have any pre-game rituals/routines/superstitions?
This volleyball season it’s been tradition to go to Bloom to get coffee or energy drinks before games. We also always have a speaker playing music before games to get hype.

Do you take any extra steps to prepare for a big game or event, outside of regular training?

I practice sports in summer leagues and play for fun with my friends.

What has been your favorite experience with being a senior this year?
Homecoming week and dance has been the highlight of my senior year so far.

Any memorable coaches or teammates you’d like to give a shout out to?
My teammates Kambriea Last and Ella Morton, they always have my back and cheer me up when I’m down on myself.

Any hobbies outside of sports?
Hanging out with my friends, crafting, sewing and playing the piano.

Favorite food?
Pizza.

Favorite movie/TV show?

“The Greatest Showman.”

Future plans? (college, major, career, etc.)
NWTC for dental hygiene.
