Congrats on selecting UW Platteville for continuing your education. What do you plan on studying and where do you hope to land career-wise?
While I am at Platteville I plan on majoring in technology education. My hope is to become a tech ed teacher preferably somewhere in Wisconsin but if I find a job out of state it is not an issue.
Did the fact that your mother is a teacher have any influence on that decision?
Yes, she helped me realize some of the perks of being a teacher and overall I just want to help the younger generation of kids.
Were you ever a student of hers in the classroom?
Yes, I have had her for world history, AP U.S. History, and AP Language and Composition
Your mom was also a cross country coach. Did your decision to pursue football cause any friction at home?
No not at all she always tried to get me into running but in the end she also respected my decision.
What was your best memory of a phenomenal 2023-24 football season with the Spartans?
I would say my best memory of this season was when we drove down the field against Catholic Memorial and gave Trace (Schoenebeck) a good shot to kick the field goal and ultimately win the game.
What do your goals for this wrestling season look like?
I hope to have a winning record and to make it to state.
As an undersized lineman, what did you need to do to be all-state? How do you deal with trash talk on the field?
Speed was a key factor for me, if I couldn’t be the biggest guy on the line, then my plan was to be the fastest. I usually just smile, honestly, make them think they did something even though they didn’t.
