What number do you wear as a basketball player?
I wear the number 13.
What position do you play?
I mainly play center and power forward.
Who is your favorite NBA player of all time and why?
I have always admired Julius Erving. Dr. J. had some phenomenal moves going to the hoop including the slam dunk and his reverse layup against the Lakers in the 1980 playoffs, which was legendary. I also like Larry Bird. My teammates often call me Larry or Bird.
What other sports do you play at L-C?
I have run cross-country and track, but I am currently on the golf team and play basketball in the winter.
You are a WIAA certified baseball umpire. When did you get certified and what inspired you to want to be an umpire?
I started umping youth league baseball and softball in middle school. There is a huge need due to the lack of umpires and I wanted to help. When I was in high school, I found out about the WIAA high school student official program. The WIAA and Mrs. Bandow, our AD, helped with the licensing process. I have been fortunate to work with some veteran officials that taught me a lot. I want to continue officiating in college and afterward.
What are you most looking forward to for your senior year participating in L-C athletics?
I am looking forward to this varsity season with Coach Logan Vander Velden, great team camaraderie, and a memorable senior year with my teammates.
What’s your favorite TV show?
The Office.
Any siblings?
I have a sister, Erin, that is one year younger than me.
