One-room school reunion at Heritage Farm next Saturday

KEWAUNEE COUNTY – On Saturday, June 27, Agricultural Heritage and Resources, Inc. (Heritage Farm) will be hosting an “all-school reunion” for alumni from the 55 graded schools (one-room schools) once located throughout Kewaunee County.

Heritage Farm has recently completed the refurbishment of the Wayside School, which was originally situated on Townhall Road in Carlton. The Wayside School was relocated to Heritage Farm and underwent restoration in 2025 to preserve its historical significance.

This event is sponsored by Agricultural Heritage and Resources, Inc., a non-profit educational organization based in Kewaunee County that preserves and promotes agricultural-based heritage.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Heritage Farm, located at N2251 Hwy 42 in Kewaunee. This event is open to the public. Students and teachers who attended these one-room schools are invited to attend. An ice cream social and potluck picnic will take place in addition to guided tours of the Heritage Farm buildings.
